Day 1: Depart from Marrakech in a 4x4 over the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m), crossing the High Atlas Mountains. Visit the Telouet Kasbah and continue through the Ounila Valley to Ait Ben Haddou. After a break in Ouarzazate, drive through the Draa Valley to Agdz. Overnight in a traditional guesthouse among the palm groves.
Day 2: Travel deeper into the Draa Valley through Zagora and stop in Tamgroute to visit the famous green pottery workshops and Quranic library. Continue to Mhamid and then drive off-road through dunes, hamadas, and dry riverbeds to reach the remote Erg Chegaga dunes. Enjoy a camel ride and a magical evening in a nomadic-style desert camp. Dinner and overnight in private tents under the stars.
Day 3: After breakfast, drive across the Iriqui Lake region—now a dry saltpan—and admire the fossil-filled desert landscapes. Reach the village of Foum Zguid and rejoin the paved road to Taznakht, known for its Berber carpets. Arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at a charming riad or guesthouse.
Day 4: Visit the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou or explore the Atlas Film Studios. Return to Marrakech via the Ounila Valley and the Kasbah of the Pasha Glaoui. Drive back over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon.
